Fishing is hot around here lately. Despite lower than ideal numbers of seven pound plus trout, the numbers of fish caught on the average trip is high. We're catching plenty of trout, reds and even quite a few flounder. The water is crystal clear, making it easy to keep lures in productive areas around potholes, rocks, grass edges and other fish holding structures. Best bite is on topwaters and soft plastics. Corky fishing has temporarily slowed after the big shrimp hatch. If this water quaility holds through summer, I expect an incredible run on Spook Jrs. around rocks near deep water.
